Ginger Neff, LPC
Ginger Neff, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor working in a private practice setting in Harrisonburg, VA since 2013. Ginger earned her Master of Science in School Counseling and a Post-Masters Certificate in Clinical Community Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University in 2003 and 2005, respectively. She has been trained in EMDR for the past six years and is EMDR Certified. Prior to working in private practice, Ms. Neff worked as an Academic Program Coordinator for The Johns Hopkins University Department of Counseling and Human Services. She also has worked as a Professional School Counselor, PK-12, in both rural and urban settings. Currently Ginger serves as a volunteer with the Virginia State Police, VALEAP, and #SaveTheNext. When not working, Ginger enjoys connecting with friends, gardening, and repurposing furniture.
Sarah Thompson, LPC
Sarah Thompson is a Licensed Professional Counselor with numerous years of experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. She has a master’s degree in counseling with specialization in trauma and crisis counseling and is currently seeking her doctoral degree in human services with a research focus on mental health treatment and education for first responders. Sarah's professional experiences range from serving children in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, to supporting at-risk families in a community health organization, to counseling firefighters who need to talk with someone who understands fire culture. For fun Sarah enjoys reading novels and bird watching.
Brittany Blevins, Resident in Counseling
Brittany Blevins is a resident counselor, working towards licensure as an LPC. She has a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Since obtaining her degree Brittany has been working for a community services board in a crisis department. Brittany specializes in trauma, specifically that of first responders. Prior to earning her degree Brittany was a Virginia State Police dispatcher for years, rising to the rank of Senior Dispatcher. Brittany has years of experience providing mental health services to law enforcement and other first responders. Currently, Brittany volunteers for the Virginia State Police CISM Team, the Virginia Law Enforcement Assistance Program (VALEAP) and is #SaveTheNext’s Vice President. During her free time Brittany is usually in nature hiking or at home cooking.
